I found these in Muskegon County, Michigan recently along with some Karner Blue butterflies. The caterpillars of the Karner Blue feed only on the Lupine and can’t survive without it. Since the habitat for the Lupine has been reduced dramatically, it’s affected the Karner Blue population, which is currently an “at risk” species.
