I found some Karner Blue Butterflies in Muskegon County recently. As they open their wings you see their iridescent blue coloring. I was happy to find these since they are an “at risk” species that depend entirely on Lupine plants for their caterpillars to feed on. I found these near a grouping of Lupine.
